This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is passionate about and has experience in effectively leading safety assurance requirements on major infrastructure projects. In this role and as part of the Rail Systems Alliance you will be responsible for the continuous reduction of MTMs safety risk exposure and ongoing management of MTM's safety assurance requirements. You will act as trusted advisor to provide safety assurance to the Manager Risk and Assurance that the Project is managing safety risks according to a mature and defensible SFAIRP methodology. This role will also see you closely liaising with design teams and related engineering and operational disciplines in support of producing System Safety documentation in line with project milestones. The Senior Project Manager will lead and provide input to the design and scope development of the signalling and train control components of the Metro Tunnel Project for the Northern, Cross City and Frankston corridors. The role will call on both Victorian project development and delivery management experience relating to signalling and related rail systems in Victorian brownfield rail projects including integration across multiple disciplines and stakeholder organisations including Public Transport Victoria (PTV), VicTrack, Rail Operators, LXRA and interface projects. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders and manage and communicate project implications of complex technical issues is fundamental for success in this role. This specialist engineer role will assist MMRA review the Melbourne Metro Reference Design in relation to track, signalling, civil, overhead wiring and structures reconfiguration works proposed on the main corridor and the Wider Rail Network to meet the Day 1 service plan. The role will assess work done to date and prepare supporting staging plans, occupation consolidation strategies, reference design refinements, confirm rail access, develop occupation requirements and inform delivery program development for the tender documents and interface projects.
