Building the massive 9km twin rail tunnels and five new underground stations will cause some unavoidable transport disruption for several years.
St Kilda Road
St Kilda Road has been reduced to one traffic lane in both directions for around 800 metres between Kings Way/Toorak Road West and Dorcas Street (for up to four years).
Buses will replace route 58 trams from 1 - 17 April and all trams on St Kilda Road from 5 - 17 April. For details visit the Public Transport Victoria website.
Works underway at a number of intersections along Kings Way to improve traffic flow, efficiency and safety.
Domain Road is closed for up to five years at the intersection of St Kilda Road.
The Southern leg is closed until further notice.

Grattan Street has been closed to traffic in both directions for around 300 metres from Royal Parade to Leicester Street (for up to five years).
Pedestrian access will be maintained through Grattan Street with some diversions for cyclists.
Bus route changes
Routes 401, 402, 403, 505 and 546 have changed to detour around the Grattan Street closure.
