The Metro Tunnel Creative Program has been recognised in two separate design awards for its public art contributions at the project's Town Hall Station and Parkville Station sites.

Weekdays Design Studio’s vintage-inspired signage, which draws attention to local businesses and pedestrian routes around construction at Flinders Street, has been awarded Silver in the Wayfinding category at the 2020 Melbourne Design Awards.

The ongoing public art program at Parkville has been named a finalist in the Communication Design category at the 2020 Premier’s Design Awards. Winners of the Premier's Design Awards are due to be announced in March at Melbourne Design Week.

Recent artworks at Parkville include Phoebe Powell's photo essay Thank You, which celebrates frontline healthcare workers, and the Parkville Storytelling Project, which showcases people and stories of the precinct through visual artworks and audio recordings.

The two recognitions for the Metro Tunnel Creative Program follow a Best in Class accolade at the 2020 Good Design Awards.
