Works on the rail network across Victoria this spring
Posted: 24 Aug 2019
Across late September and October, buses will replace trains at various times on the Cranbourne and Pakenham, Sunbury, Werribee and Williamstown lines. Trams on St Kilda Road, Flinders Street and Plenty Road will also be affected at selected times.
On the regional train network, coaches will replace trains on parts of the Ballarat, Bendigo, Gippsland, Geelong and Warrnambool lines.
There will be a range of other smaller disruptions for essential maintenance works across the network, plan ahead before you travel.
We encourage you to plan ahead to avoid long delays, allow more time for your journey and consider alternatives if you can during the works. Please be aware there may also be more people using the roads, or an alternative line or route, if their usual journey is disrupted.
More information on bus replacements and timetables will be available from Public Transport Victoria in the coming weeks.
