- There will be an increase in trucks accessing the A’Beckett Street site between 8am and 7pm on Tuesday 2 March to deliver pre-cast concrete segments
- Local access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times.

Shaft constructionLittle La Trobe Street site7am to 10pm, Monday to Fridays, ongoing 7am to 6pm, Saturdays, ongoing 10pm to 3am, Monday to Fridays, ongoing (minor electrical works) | - Shaft construction involves the use of excavators, a tower crane, hand tools, an elevated work platform, and trucks to remove excavated material and deliver construction materials
- Steel fixing, excavation, and hammering works will continue underneath the ground floor slab
- Minor electrical works involving the use of hand tools and an elevated works platform will continue underneath the ground floor slab until 3am on weeknights
- Minor electrical works are not expected to exceed background noise levels
- Concrete pours must be continuous to ensure structural integrity and therefore may occasionally continue outside of standard construction hours
- Concrete pours involve concrete trucks attending the site and use of the tower crane
- Trucks will continue to use the loading zone on Little La Trobe Street to deliver and remove equipment, construction materials and excavated materials
- Ventilation equipment and site lighting will be required during shaft construction works.

Adit constructionLittle La Trobe Street site24 hours, Mondays to Saturdays, throughout March 2021 | - Works to construct an adit (underground passenger connection) between the Little La Trobe and La Trobe Street sites will continue throughout March
- Adit construction involves the installation of canopy tubes, excavation and shotcreting underneath the ground floor slab
- Canopy tube installation works will continue until mid-March, this is a continuous process and will involve the use of a drill rig and a grout pump underneath the ground floor slab
- Drilling for canopy tubes will conclude by 10pm each day and grouting will continue overnight
- Grouting works will take place underneath the ground floor slab and are expected to generate low levels of noise
- Following the installation of canopy tubes, works will commence to excavate the top section of the adit. This will involve the use of an excavator, a tower crane, a shotcrete rig, a concrete pump, and trucks to deliver concrete and remove excavated material
- Excavation and excavated material removal will conclude by 10pm and shotcreting will continue overnight
- Shotcreting involves the use of a shotcreting rig and a concrete pump. There will be up to two concrete deliveries per overnight shift to support this activity
- There will be noise matting installed around the temporary concrete pump, which will be located on top of the ground floor slab, within the site
- Concrete trucks will use the dedicated construction loading zone on Little La Trobe Street
- Ventilation equipment and site lighting will be required during adit construction works

- Hammering activities underneath the ground floor slab will conclude before 8pm
- Concrete pours involve regular deliveries of concrete to the site, and the use of concrete trucks, concrete pumps, and concrete finishing equipment
- Concrete pours will conclude by 10pm and concrete finishing works may continue overnight
- Concrete finishing works are expected to generate low levels of noise and vibration
- The concrete pump on Swanston Street is used to support construction works within the La Trobe Street site and tunnelling works in the cavern
- There will be regular truck movements to deliver and remove equipment, construction materials and excavated materials
- Truck movements to remove excavated material from shaft construction works at the La Trobe Street site will conclude before 10pm
- A clamshell excavator will be delivered on an oversized truck between 1am and 5am on Friday 19 March.

- During these works a partial footpath closure will be in place on the Swanston Street western footpath (adjacent to the La Trobe Street site)
- Traffic management will be in place to guide pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists around the works area
- Access to residential buildings and businesses will be maintained at all times.

- Oversized trucks will deliver segments of a gantry system to the Franklin Street East acoustic shed between 1am and 5am from Monday 1 March to Tuesday 9 March
- A clamshell excavator will be delivered on an oversized truck to the La Trobe Street site between 1am and 5am on Friday 19 March.

TBM tunnellingState Library to Town Hall Station24 hours, Monday to Sundays, ongoing until mid-2021 | - Both tunnel boring machines (TBMs) were launched from the Parkville Station precinct in late 2020
- The first TBM broke through into the State Library precinct on 19 December 2020. The machine was transferred through the station box and relaunched towards the Town Hall precinct in early February
- The second TBM broke through into the State Library precinct on 11 February. The machine is now being transferred through the station box where it will be relaunched towards the Town Hall precinct in the coming weeks
- On average the TBMs move around 10 metres every 24 hours
- During tunnelling, the project team undertake survey and monitoring activities at ground level along the tunnel alignment
- Properties located near tunnelling works will be contacted with further information before tunnelling occurs in their area.

Cross passage constructionParkville to State Library StationOngoing until mid-2021 | Works to construct a cross passage beneath Swanston Street south of Queensbury Street have commenced. This involves: - Installing work platforms and steel bracing frames inside the completed sections of tunnel
- Geotechnical probe drilling to collect samples and confirm ground conditions in each crosspassage location
- Cutting through the tunnel walls using a wall saw
- Using a small excavator to mine between the tunnels, and spraying concrete (shotcrete) to support the ground
- Installing waterproofing membrane and lining the cross passage tunnel using steel reinforcement and concrete
- Each cross passage is expected to take approximately six months to construct. Works will occur concurrently at different cross passage sites
- All works will be completed within the completed sections of tunnel and are not expected to be audible at surface level.
