Flinders Street – temporary tram disruption

Trams will be disrupted on routes 70, 75 and the City Circle on Flinders Street between Elizabeth Street and Russell Street from 5 to 11 July.

There will also be associated temporary traffic changes, with Flinders Street eastbound lanes closed to motorists between Queen and Elizabeth streets from 8pm on Sunday 5 July until 6am on Monday 6 July.

Flinders Street – long-term traffic changes

St Kilda Road

From Wednesday 3 June, the left-hand turn for traffic travelling northbound on St Kilda Road into Flinders Street will be closed.

The Flinders Street pedestrian crossing between St Paul’s Cathedral and Federation Square will also be temporarily closed from Wednesday 3 June for up to 20 months.

Staged eastbound lane closures on La Trobe Street between Swanston and Elizabeth streets. Detours in place for motorists and cyclists.

La Trobe Street eastbound lane speed limit reduction to 30kph.

The dedicated eastbound bicycle lane and northern footpath on La Trobe Street adjacent to the Metro Tunnel construction site is closed.

Kensington Road, Childers Street and Hobsons Road

Kensington Road, Childers Street and Hobsons Road will be closed from 7pm to 5:30am, Tuesday 7 to Wednesday 8 July.

The Hobsons Road car park will also be closed from 5pm, Monday 6 July to 11:59pm Friday 9 July.

Detours will be in place during this time.
