Temporary Tram Service Changes - 5 to 11 July
During July, 24-hour service investigations will take place at the intersection of Elizabeth and Flinders streets.
Route 70, 75 and City Circle (35) tram services will be disrupted from 4am, Sunday 5 July until 4am, Sunday 12 July.
There will also be temporary traffic changes from Sunday 5 July to Wednesday 8 July.
During this time, trams will run in sections with no trams running on Flinders Street between Stop 4 Elizabeth Street and Stop 6 Russell Street. Stop 5 Flinders Street Station/Swanston Street will be closed.
Passengers continuing along Flinders Street will be required to walk between Stop 4 and Stop 6, approximately 800 metres around the work zone (refer to map).
Traffic management will be in place to safely guide pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists around the work areas.
Flinders Street eastbound lanes between Queen and Elizabeth streets will be closed to motorists from:
- 8pm on Sunday 5 July until 6am on Monday 6 July.
Local access to car parks will be maintained.
Vehicle access to Degraves Street will be maintained via Elizabeth Street from:
- 8pm on Sunday 5 July until 6am on Wednesday 8 July.
Traffic management will be in place at intermittent times to escort local traffic during this period.
