Suburban Rail Loop

Suburban Rail Loop is a new rail network linking Melbourne's middle suburbs.

Melbourne Airport Rail

Melbourne Airport Rail will connect Melbourne Airport to all metropolitan and regional rail lines via Sunshine.

Metro Tunnel

Construction is underway on the Metro Tunnel which will untangle the City Loop, and benefit train lines across the network.

Regional Rail Revival

The Regional Rail Revival program is upgrading every regional passenger train line in Victoria, and is a joint initiative of the Australian and Victorian governments.

Fast Rail to Geelong

The Victorian Government is investing in detailed planning work and technical investigations to determine a preferred option for fast rail between Melbourne and Geelong.

Western Rail Plan

Planning for projects including electrification to Melton and Wyndham Vale, increased capacity between Sunshine and the CBD, and major investment in the Geelong and Ballarat line.

Sunbury Line Upgrade

The Sunbury Line Upgrade will enable more modern trains to run more often on the line, creating room for 113,000 more passengers every week.

Rail Projects Victoria (RPV) is responsible for all aspects of the projects including planning and development of a project reference design, site investigations, stakeholder engagement, planning approvals and procurement, through to construction delivery and project commissioning.

Delivering projects of this scale and complexity requires a blend of public sector and private sector experience and RPV is utilising both employees and contractors, with support from external expert advisors.

RPV has assembled a skilled team of highly experienced professionals from across the public and private sectors to ensure the objectives of its projects are achieved for the Victorian community.
