VIDA Metro

Building the Metro Tunnel, creating a new end-to-end rail line from the west to the south east.

VIDA Metro is the organisation delivering the Metro Tunnel Project.

When the Metro Tunnel opens later in 2025, trains on the Sunbury, Cranbourne and Pakenham lines will run through new tunnels under Melbourne’s CBD.

With 5 new stations, the Metro Tunnel give passengers direct train access to new destinations, including St Kilda Road (Anzac Station), Melbourne’s major health and education precinct (Parkville Station) and North Melbourne (Arden Station).

VIDA Metro is responsible for all aspects of the project, overseeing the final stages of construction, testing and commissioning to get ready for opening later in 2025.
